ReadyKids’ insurance carrier requires all employees to maintain a current motor insurance policy with at least the minimum coverage of $300,000 combined single limit or $100/300/100 split limits ($100,000 per occurrence, $300,000 per accident for bodily injury, $100,000 per accident for property damage).

Open Positions

Check and Connect Coach (Pathway Coach) with City of Promise – (Part time – 10 Hours/Week) - The Pathway Coach position is responsible for working with 8th-12th graders and their families in the City of Promise footprint. Check and Connect is a federal grant program to prevent truancy and improve student outcomes through mentorship, outreach, and capacity building in schools and neighborhoods. Charlottesville's grant-funded Coaches (social workers) for the Check and Connect program will work with students with dropout risk factors. These children to be served are part of the City's City of Promise Initiative, whose goal is build a cradle to college and career pathway for all children. Bachelor’s degree and experience in related field required. Current and valid driver's license and automobile insurance required. Community Connector with City of Promise – (Part time – 20 Hours/Week) - The Community Connector is responsible for linking neighbors to resources and supports in the community and building relationships among and between neighbors and the broader community. Connectors provide support and facilitates special projects and events as needed; Provides reception and clerical assistance to staff in the office and maintains informational database. Performs related tasks as required. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree. Minimally, possession of a high school diploma or GED plus two years of relevant work experience may be considered equivalent. Because City of Promise works primarily in the Westhaven and 10th & Page neighborhoods, the ideal candidate will live in the City of Promise footprint. The ideal candidate will also be able to assist those impacted by the events on August 12, 2017. Current and valid driver's license and automobile insurance required. ReadySteps Bilingual Educator – (Part time – 24 Hours/Week) – Organize, facilitate and coordinate activities related to the implementation of neighborhood-based early learning programming that engages parents as children’s first and best teacher with their young children. Position begins 7/1/18. Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with experience providing parent education and early childhood education or equivalent experience. Ability to relate well to both parents and young children. Current and valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. Fluent in English and Spanish. Early Learning Specialist – (Full-Time, 32 Hrs/Wk) - Provides training and consultation to child care and preschool programs to increase the quality of care and education provided to young children. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. At least five years of early childhood program experience, preferably in a leadership role. Knowledge of licensing and quality standards. Experience coaching/training adult learners. Willing to travel within region. Current and valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
